Using high-quality materials and innovative techniques, we work closely with you to craft walls and columns that complement your outdoor environment. From retaining walls to garden walls and decorative pillars, we ensure every detail is designed to uplift (pun intended) your space and meet your needs.
Our walls and columns are designed to combine form and function, ensuring your outdoor space has both purpose and appeal.
A freestanding wall is typically constructed to allow for additional seating room. Freestanding walls may also be used for small planter beds and you’ll sometimes see it referred to as a garden wall. While they do serve their purpose, many times they’re more for looks than anything else.
A retaining wall, on the other hand, is built to, quite literally, retain a portion of landscape back. This may be necessary to increase usable space if you have a large slope or elevation changes or if you have erosion or drainage issues. Retaining walls require quite a bit more planning, are more invasive, and may need to be engineered depending on its size to comply with local regulations. Structural integrity and drainage are paramount. Check out our blog where we go into more detail.
Seating walls provide built-in, durable seating that maximizes space while adding structure and style. They provide definition for gathering areas and can be integrated with fire pits, patios, or outdoor kitchens. They are also really great to double as side tables for drinks and snacks.
Columns add architectural interest and define entrances or walkways. They can be used to frame posts for pergolas or patios, anchor seating walls, lighting or planters along with other decorative elements such as fire bowls or water features.
Retaining walls help manage slopes, prevent soil erosion, and create leveled spaces for gardens, patios, or pathways. They also add dimension and visual interest to your landscape. If you have any of these issues, then you might benefit from a retaining wall.
Definitely! Curved, tiered, or uniquely shaped walls can create dynamic, organic designs that enhance your aesthetic and flow.
